About Election Stress & Anxiety Activities
“We cannot exist in an indefinite state of fight or flight.” Being in a place of heightened physiological arousal, long-term, is detrimental to our physical, mental, and spiritual health. — Dr. Barbara Shabazz
Hi, I’m Dr. B ( you can call me that for short) and I use positive psychology to help people create intentional activities that helps them live truly. This digital space was built to house simple, but impactful activities that I designed especially for this year’s election.
On any given day in 2020, the broad range of emotions is sure to surprise you. Collectively, we are tired, exhausted, and ready for this thing to be over.
Anxiety is the way our bodies tell us that we are stressed or stressing. Anxiety is forward focused fear and worry, usually about an event that we know is imminent but uncertain.
I hope that these activities assist you in self-soothing, relieving and dispelling the stress and anxiousness you may feel.
